Pair of armbands, Hellenistic, ca. 200 b.c. Greek (Gold)
These are serpentine armbands. They represent two triton - a son of Poseidon, represented as having the head and trunk of a man and the tail of a fish. A male and a female. They are each holding a small winged Eros - a winged figure of a child representing love or the power of love. The hoops behind their heads are so they can be attached to the sleeves of a garment/ shirt.
